Founded in 2015, the TechEntrepreneurs were established with the goal of fostering an entrepreneurial culture at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Each year we organize two main events: The Startup Career Fair, and Dragon’s Den Pitch. In combination with these we also host entrepreneurial workshops paired with our friends in industry aimed to spur creative ideas and provide a platform to generate dialogue between curious persons.
The TechEntrepreneurs are the gateway to entrepreneurship at WPI, providing students and faculty with the tools and resources to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors.
To continue to promote the entrepreneurial spirit at WPI we connect students and startups to each other through this uniquely run event. Students can land internships at local New England startups and see what working in such an environment is all about, or they can find full time positions if graduating. Companies meanwhile gain tremendous value from the fair and hire driven, entrepreneurial students.
Leading industry expert access, venture capital investors, and a school backed marketing campaign for the event itself including prize money to help fund and nurture the top three startups. Strategic workshops leading up to the event will be set in order to build well rounded ideas and models.
